Our assessment
The compact spring event from the leat organizers, held in a distinctive venue. Smaller and more personal than leat con, it is ideal for discovering new products before the outdoor season. According to the organizer, the main floor of leat X 27 was fully booked on the day sales opened.

No. At the end of 2025, Messe Frankfurt announced that Prolight + Sound in Frankfurt would not continue. The initially planned themed area at Light + Building 2026 was also canceled. The brand continues internationally, for example as Prolight + Sound Guangzhou. In Germany, leat con in Hamburg has since become the central industry meeting point.
For lighting, networking, control and rigging, it is leat con in Hamburg, held every autumn. The smaller leat X in Munich complements it in spring. For those working with agencies and event planners, BOE in Dortmund is a good choice.
Messe Berlin discontinued Stage|Set|Scenery in 2021. For theater and stage technology, the DTHG’s Stage Technology Conference (BTT) is now the main industry meeting point.
For lighting and stage technology, particularly PLASA Show in London in September and LDI in Las Vegas in December. Those working with AV, LED, media technology or networking should consider ISE in Barcelona, the world’s largest AV trade fair.
