The brief
An exhibition runs daily for weeks and is operated by venue staff, not by a lighting crew. It needed room-by-room lighting plus control that starts and shuts down with one button in the morning and evening.
Equipment used
- grandMA3 as permanent control with a schedule for opening and closing hours
- LumiNode for DMX in the individual rooms
- Network switches linking the rooms to the technical position
- Power distribution and cabling covered along public walkways
Outcome
Venue staff ran the operation without a technician. Lighting was identically reproducible in every room and stayed unchanged over the full run.
